  • Wood pellets manufactured from sawmill residues can slash greenhouse gas emissions by an impressive 54% when compared to heating oil, and by 59% when compared to natural gas.
  • Utilizing a mix of up to 75% pulpwood and 25% sawmill residues in wood pellets also yielded significant environmental benefits.
  • Redirecting the current pulpwood harvest towards the production of wood pellets has a favorable impact on climate change mitigation.
